Our High Commission in Banjul
The British High Commission represents the UK and promotes the relations between the British Government and The Gambia. The British High Commissioner in The Gambia, Mr Philip Sinkinson is the focal point for all aspects of relations beween the two countries and and the official representative of Her majesty in The Gambia.
Management section
Provides support to all other sections in the High Commission and is reponsible for the management of the High Commission's resources.
Visa section
Provides information and entry clearance services to those wishing to travel to the UK for diverse purposes. The Visa Section is responsible for the management and processing of visas to Gambians and other foreign nationals in The Gambia.
Consular section
The Conslar section provides consular services for British nationals in The Gambia and those wishing to travel to the Gambia.
DFID
The Department For International Development supports The Gambian Government and Civil Society Organizations especially in the Education sector.
Chevening scholarships
The British High Commission in The Gambia coordinates the Chevening Scholarship programmes annually.
